What's on in Dundee This Week

As you consider what’s on in Dundee this week, you’ll find a good selection of activities available. Whether your interests lie in family activities, live music, or design and cultural concepts, there are options to explore. You can plan your days around experiences that reflect the varied interests of our community. Dundee, a city with origins dating back to the late 12th century and a past defined by jute, jam and journalism, continues to evolve as a centre for technology and design. For those with younger family members, consider an interactive session at the Discovery Centre, offering engagement with exhibits designed to inspire curiosity. Meanwhile, music fans can step back in time with a celebratory day party dedicated to the styles of the 1980s, or enjoy a contemporary live performance at Fat Sam’s, experiencing modern rock music. Both offer a chance to connect with different facets of the city's musical landscape. Consider using the Seagate bus station or the Inner Ring Road to reach these venues. Beyond entertainment, you can also engage with initiatives that look towards the future of urban environments. The V&A Dundee is hosting a design challenge, inviting participation in thinking creatively about public spaces and high streets. This provides an opportunity to connect with forward-thinking ideas and contribute to broader discussions about the city’s ongoing regeneration. The city’s calendar this week offers a chance to participate actively or simply enjoy the atmosphere of these gatherings, perhaps taking advantage of walking routes along the waterfront. Remember that congestion can occur on the A92 and Tay Road Bridge during peak hours. Take a look through the listings below for further details.
